About QLCPC

Our History & Purpose

The Quince & Lombard Community Parking Corporation was established in 1980 through an agreement with the Philadelphia Redevelopment Authority as part of the revitalisation of the Washington Square West neighbourhood.

The lot was created to provide secure, off-street parking for residents of the surrounding blocks — an amenity that remains as valuable today as it was when the corporation was founded.

Ownership of a parking spot is structured as a shareholding in the nonprofit corporation. Members pay annual dues voted on by the board each October. The corporation is self-governing: a four-person board of volunteers — President, VP, Secretary, and Treasurer — is elected annually from the membership.
